Steve Morton founded morton architects in 1997, while practicing in Southern California.

Steve Morton earned his degree at California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and is currently licensed in Colorado, New York, Massachusetts and California.
In addition to his work in the Telluride region, Morton has practiced residential architecture in the Santa Barbara and Los Angeles areas, as well as commercial architecture throughout the Southern California region. His diverse background enables him to cover a variety of styles in his designs and cater to a broad client base. Morton has a breadth of experience in the unique elements found in both mountain and coastal architecture with technical expertise that spans numerous building genres.
His wife, Kimille Taylor is an interior designer and the two often collaborate on projects together.
